Stefanie Reagan is a member of Hickey Hauck Bishoff Jeffers & Seabolt, PLLC. Stefanie moved to Michigan in 2016 and began practicing at HHBJS shortly after the firm’s formation in 2016. Before her move, Stefanie spent the first 15 years of her career practicing in Florida with notable commercial litigation firms assisting clients in all manner of business disputes. Stefanie’s practice includes a broad range of business issues and disputes, including contractual disputes, protection of confidential information and intellectual property, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, unfair competition and other business claims.
Stefanie also has a broad range of experience litigating and resolving automotive supply chain disputes and healthcare disputes. She also has experience representing clients pursuing appeals in state and federal appellate courts. Stefanie has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in Business Litigation by Florida SuperLawyers in 2010, 2011 and each year in 2013 through 2015. She also was recognized as a “Top Up and Comer” in Appeals by the South Florida Legal Guide each year in 2011 through 2015.
EXPERIENCE
Ms. Reagan brings to Hickey Hauck Bishoff Jeffers & Seabolt, PLLC significant experience in complex commercial litigation, including automotive supply chain disputes, non-compete and non-solicitation litigation, breach of contract, business torts, and healthcare disputes. Ms. Reagan has managed clients’ cases from inception of suit until resolution, including mediation, trial or appeal.
Ms. Reagan also has significant experience in appellate law. Ms. Reagan began her career serving as a Staff Attorney to the Honorable Martha C. Warner on the Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach, Florida. She also served for three years on the Florida Bar’s Appellate Court Rules Committee and chaired the Record on Appeal Subcommittee. In private practice, Ms. Reagan continues to handle clients’ cases through appeal in both state and federal appellate courts.
Ms. Reagan also concentrates her practice in the areas of general civil litigation, employment law, trade secret litigation, and commercial landlord tenant disputes. She has litigated complex construction disputes involving design and construction defects and delay issues, trade secret disputes as well as hospital medical staff disputes. Ms. Reagan also has pursued business tort claims on behalf of clients, including breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, tortious interference, shareholder derivative claims, partnership or member disputes, and defamation.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Ms. Reagan was appointed to the Committee on Model Civil Jury Instructions in December 2020 by the Supreme Court of Michigan. She also serves on the Michigan Appellate Bench Bar Conference Foundation. Ms. Reagan also remains active locally with the Detroit Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association. In June 2021, Ms. Reagan was elected to the Board of the Detroit Bar Association. She also has served on the Judicial Nominating Committee for the Detroit Bar Association and as a panelist for its Business Court seminars. Ms. Reagan also has served for several years on the Business Court and Counsel Committee with the Oakland County Bar Association and was a moderator for the Business Court break-out sessions for its 2023 Bench Bar Conference. While in Florida, Ms. Reagan was a member of the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches, an organization dedicated to the support and advancement of women in business and community leadership. Executive Women also raises funds through its charitable foundation to support the educational advancement of girls and young women who are less fortunate. Ms. Reagan also served for three years on the grant review committee for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
