  • Breach of Contract
  • Wrongful discharge
  • Family Medical Leave Act

TRADE SECRET, NON-COMPETES & UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES

A company’s ability to protect its intangible assets, including trade secrets and other intellectual property, is critical to preserving its long term viability and value. The attorneys of HHBJS have extensive experience in developing and implementing agreements, policies and practices that will help ensure that our clients’ intangible assets are protected, including their assembled work force, customer relationships and good will and confidential and trade secret information. We also advise employers who are confronted with sudden employee departures or when they seek to hire employees from a competitor.

We prosecute and defend actions for violation of non-compete, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, raiding and tortious interference with contract for our clients throughout Michigan and across the United States. HHBJS understands the need to act quickly and aggressively when a client’s intangible assets are threatened by a competitor or a departing employee. As a result, most cases are resolved quickly and effectively. However, when necessary we have tried non-compete and trade secret claims to juries, judges and arbitrators.
